Our staff consist of the most dedicated Certified Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, Client Service Representatives, and Animal Care Attendants available in any Golden vet clinic. Their goal is to help you and your pet's visit with us be as pleasant as possible, and if need be to help nurse your pet back to health! The expertise demonstrated by Mesa Veterinary Hospital is what makes it the Wheat Ridge animal hospital of choice for residents in this area and other surrounding cities.

Mesa Veterinary Hospital could probably not exist as we know it without Tanya. She is our Administrative Assistant . She joined Mesa in 1995 as a Certified Veterinary Technician and has taken on new challenges along the way. The doctors rely on her for all of their ordering for supplies and medications for your animals. She does a million and one things behind the scenes that allow us to function smoothly - a huge job which we thank her for every day. Here she is pictured with her beloved Golden Retriever, Cedar.

Cheryl is our fantastic technician supervisor and does a great job helping all our patients behind the scenes. She has her own small herd of pooches, cats, and a beautiful Macaw. All Dachshunds must get some Cheryl-love before leaving our hospital. Cheryl spends her free time enjoying the outdoors and riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle. Chrysann has been with Mesa the longest of all our employees.  A Certified Veterinary Technician, Chrysann has seen a little of everything here at MVH.  As you can imagine, her years of experience have sharpened her technical skills and she has a big caring heart for all the animals.  She has a horse and 2 dogs.  She enjoys baking and gardening in her free time.

Anthony has been at Mesa since 2009.  In addition to being an awesome veterinary technician, he enjoys snowboarding and being outside in the mountains during his free time.  Anthony has two pet ferrets of his own.

Ashley Mesa

Ashley joined the Mesa team in November 2012 after being a client of ours for a number of years. She grew up in Golden and has lived here her entire life. Ashley started with us as a veterinary assistant, and has since become a Certified Veterinary Technician and has stayed on with our team! She is a proud mother of an adorable English Bulldog named Kona.

Sam Mesa

Elizabeth grew up in Michigan and moved to Denver to attend school at Bel-Rea for her Certified Veterinary Technician degree. She started working at Mesa in 2014 and has been a great addition! She has a crew of animals at home including a dog, a cat, two rabbits, and 11 chickens! In her spare time she enjoys skiing, hiking, biking, and gardening.

Wendy Mesa

Wendy


Wendy joined our hospital in July 2014. She has been a Certified Veterinary Technician for 4 years. Wendy has always had a passion for animals, but she decided to pursue a career as a veterinary technician after her cat Lion-O had surgery for a cat bite abscess and she found that she really enjoyed taking care of him after his surgery. Wendy has a love for exotics and avians and has 3 cats, a guinea pig, and a gecko. In her spare time Wendy is an artist and creates original artwork involving paint, air brushing, and melting crayons.

Yessica Mesa

Yesica is one of our wonderful technicians who started working at Mesa in 2015. She is a Colorado Native and lives with two wonderful dogs, Chip and Fluffy. She particularly likes doing dentals and strives to make your pet's teeth pearly white! In her spare time she enjoys hiking and car shows. We are very lucky to get to work with her!

 

Kristen


Kristen is one of our wonderful technicians who started working at Mesa in the summer of 2015.  She is a recent graduate from Madison College and moved here from Wisconsin.  She lives with her wonderful English Springer Spaniel, Lexus.  In her spare time she enjoys hiking, going to concerts, exploring the many Colorado breweries, and cheering on her favorite NFL team the Green Bay Packers.  We are very lucky to get to work with her and her fun and friendly attitude!

Ashley Veterinary Technician

Ashley


Ashley has lived in Colorado since elementary school, and attended school to become a certified veterinary technician here. She then moved to Las Vegas to work at an exotics only hospital, before she came to work here at Mesa! She has a small handful of pets including two guinea pigs (Luda-Pig and Miss Pig-Demeanor Eliot), her dog Satchmo (part American Staffordshire Terrior, part otter), and three cats. In her spare time she likes to go to live concerts, is a master at crochette, and loves traveling! She one of our go to technicians for calming nervous cats and working with everything feathered and scaled.

Genie


Genie moved to Colorado from California in 2009, and worked as a dog groomer before becoming a certified veterinary technician. She has been working at Mesa since 2012 and we are so glad we have her! She has a special interest in anesthesia and orthopedic surgery, though helps us with grooming whenever we need her! In her spare time she enjoys hiking with her standard poodle River Lea, and hanging out with friends and family.

Hillary started at Mesa in May 2016, after moving to the Denver area from her hometown of Syracuse, New York. She is a lifelong animal lover, and has worked in veterinary medicine since 2007 as a kennel attendant, client service representative, and veterinary assistant. Her experience includes working in general practice, exotics, emergency and specialty animal medicine. She especially loves working with cats and reptiles. Hillary lives with her boyfriend and their fur children - two cats (Figaro and Franklin, brothers, raised since they were just days old), and a crazy Border Collie/Shepherd mix, Harley (rescued from a kill shelter). In her free time, Hillary enjoys music, making art, eating snacks, spending time with friends and being outdoors.

Lynn was hired during the summer of 2010 as an animal care attendant, and now does a fantastic job working with clients and their fabulous pets as a Veterinary Assistant. Originally from Chicago, Lynn has now lived in Colorado for almost 20 years. Her goal is to eventually become a certified veterinary technician. Lynn enjoys volunteering at Foothills Animal Shelter and pet sitting. Lynn has a wonderful family that includes a teenage daughter and son, along with 2 dogs, 4 cats, and 5 chickens that fill her home with happiness!

Denise


Denise has been working as one of our veterinary assistants since 2008.  She is a very compassionate animal lover and has a dog and cat of her own.  When not working at Mesa, she and her family enjoy being outside, mountain biking, gardening, and skiing.

Sam grew up in Hawaii. After finishing her degree in Chemical Bioscience at the University of Oklahoma in 2016, she moved to Colorado and started working as a Veterinary Assistant at Mesa. Sam plans to apply to CSU’s vet program within a couple of years. She currently lives in Fort Collins with her kitty cat, Izzy.

Chelsea graduated from Animal Behavior College as a certified dog trainer in 2010. When Chelsea is not supervising Puppy Socialization here at Mesa, or providing one-on-one training consultations, she works as one of our Veterinary Assistants. She is currently in school, working on her Associates of Applied Science. In her free time, she likes to go hiking, cook, and spend time with her two dogs, Pancake (a Pembroke Welsh Corgi) and Sammie (a Chow mix).

Kelsey started working at Mesa in June, 2014, and is our CSR supervisor.  She grew up in Tupper Lake, New York, and moved to Colorado in 2008 to attend school at Colorado Mesa University.  She is studying biology and chemistry and is considering pursuing veterinary medicine.  She is a wonderful addition to Mesa and is always there to greet you with a smile!  In her spare time her and her daughter Maya and husband Mitchell like to hike, dance, and bike!  Kelsey has a dog named Parker and a cat named Korra!

Taylor Golden Animal Hospital

Taylor moved from Connecticut to Colorado in August 2014. She is currently enrolled in school to finish her associates’ degree in Animal Science. She worked previously as a veterinary assistant for an all feline AAHA accredited hospital in CT, hence her being our token crazy cat lady! She loves all of the furry friends we see at Mesa, and can frequently be found cuddling the kitties. She lives with her geriatric female cat Ms. Runkles-worth and her hedgehog Sonia. In her spare time she enjoys extreme saunters through Colorado’s wonderful landscape and generally enjoys the outdoors.

Chloe joined our veterinary team in 2015. She is a pet lover and is sure to greet all of our clients with a warm smile. Outside Mesa Chloe is very involved with her church and loves to play sports.  She is obsessed with adventure and checking things off her bucket list, so she is growing a business in the travel industry.

Suzzy was born and raised in Colorado. She has been working with animals for 5 years, starting out in a doggy day care and also working in an animal shelter.  She is thrilled to be at Mesa and be able to make a difference in pets' lives every day.  She currently has 2 dogs and 2 cats of her own, they are her world!

Keshaun moved to Colorado from Illinois and has been working with us at Mesa since. She is very family oriented and is to oldest of 4 girls in her family. She enjoys working with animals and is planning on going to school to become a veterinary technician.

Many of our clients know Kristin at the front desk, she has been with us for many years.  She does a great job keeping things running smoothly, especially in the early morning hours.  She has her own family, plus 2 dogs and 2 cats, to care for when she is not working at Mesa.

AnnMarie has worked with animals her entire life.  She joined the Mesa team in 2011, and is now the supervisor of the animal care attendants.  Her herd includes a Papillon, a Pekinese, a cat, 2 gerbils, and a few tarantulas.

Amanda joined the Mesa family in August 2011.  Animals are her passion, to her there is nothing like the smell of puppy breath or the sound of a cat purring!  Her favorite breed is the Pit Bull.  Amanda is planning on going back to school to become a veterinary technician or possibly a veterinarian.

Lateisha started working at Mesa in 2015 and is currently attending Red Rocks Community College where she is studying real estate and business.  She has an American Staffordshire Terrier at home named Nitro.  Besides working at Mesa and attending classes, she enjoys spending time with her dog, watching TV, and spending time with friends and family.

Shantel is one of our wonderful animal care attendants, who especially loves to cuddle our sweet cats and kittens who are in the hospital.  Shantel is native to Colorado and just started school to become a veterinary technician.  She has a cat named Hazel, and a cremello Quarter Horse named Luna.  In her spare time she rides western and enjoys hiking.

Ivy started working at Mesa as an ACA in 2015 after moving from Virginia with her family.  She has a ferret named Roxie and a Husky named Breckenridge.  She loves going to the park and letting Roxie run around!  Ivy is attending school to become a certified veterinary technician.  She enjoys being around all kinds of animals, and also enjoys reading sci-fi and fantasy novels and going to the movie theater.

Elise loves being outside and is an avid camper. She is currently in school to become a certified veterinary technician. When she is not working or outside she spends time at home with her two dogs and her frogs!


Shania

Shania started working at Mesa in July of 2016. She is one of our overnight animal care attendants and loves spending time with our patients! When Shania is not here at Mesa, she enjoys spending time with her 4 cats at home.

Thomas


Thomas is very passionate about all animals, but has a soft spot for cats! He rescued two cats of his own named Todd and Tiana. In his spare time, his cats help him and his friends play dungeons and dragons.
